Ordering Process
The wedding cake booking process.
At Cakes by Natasha Baker, our goal is to create the perfect cake for your wedding day. Below is a step by step guide to the bespoke cake service we offer.
1. Availability
I encourage you to get in touch to see if your wedding date is available as soon as you have secured your wedding venue. As I book a limited number of weddings each month, I recommend initiating your enquiry at least 9-12 months in advance to avoid disappointment.
2. Complimentary Consultation
If your date is available we will arrange a zoom consultation where we can meet to discuss design ideas, size, flavours, delivery and any other necessary details. Please feel free to share with me any photos, colour/fabric swatches etc that you would like to use for inspiration beforehand. I also welcome couples to discuss their budget for their wedding cake at this stage so we can design the perfect cake to meet your expectations. I will then put together a preliminary design and general estimate for your cake. If you are have to proceed then at this point I charge a £100 non-refundable deposit to secure your date.
Cake Tasting
If you would like to order some cake samples these are available for collection at set times throughout the year. Our tasting boxes includes 5 pre-chosen flavours for a £30 charge. Please see the link for our next tasting date.
3. Finalising Design
Once your date is secured I will finalise the cake design and put together a detailed description of all the cake details, flavours, any special requests, delivery and a final price. I am on hand throughout this ordering process for any amendments you wish to make to your order.
4. Final Details
Around six weeks before your wedding day I will confirm all the details with you and at this point the final balance is due, which will include the deduction of your deposit.
Two weeks before your wedding day I will make contact with your wedding venue to finalise arrangements and will be in touch with your florist (if using fresh florals) to finalise necessary arrangements.
